We have a ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ policy across our business. From introducing two sided printing to switching off unused equipment, each employee is responsible for making a difference.
Our offices
We take steps to reduce our impact on the environment, across offices, data centres and storage facilities through careful energy monitoring, power-efficient hardware and recycling. Sensor efficient lighting and energy-efficient cooling systems are in place. Some of our offices have no waste bins, just recycling units, and our property portfolio across Europe runs on renewable energy.
Replacing Travel with Managed Virtual Meetings
One of the ways in which staff are encouraged to take immediate responsibility for the business’ carbon footprint is to reduce travel where possible. Easynet’s own Managed Virtual Meeting solution is being rolled out across the entire company to assist with this travel reduction goal.
Travel-free month
May 2008 was our first ‘travel free’ month, with the objectives of reducing our carbon emissions from business travel, and collaborating in more flexible, innovative ways. Following its success, we will look at introducing a travel-free month every year and will report back on our results.
